Anglican Mission in the Americas Winter Conference

Church of the Redeemer is part of a great story of global Christianity, as we live out our faith in relationship with other churches being planted to reach those apart from God. And all of this under the inspirational leadership of the Anglican Church in Rwanda. We'll be celebrating together in our annual Winter Conference, January 27th-30th in Greensboro, North Carolina, with inspiring worship, speakers and helpful ministry workshops. If you would like to know more, please visit the website at www.theamia.org

Hymn Sing

Join us Saturday evening January 16th at 7:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Church in Highland Park for a Hymn Sing. Chris Marchand, who is working on a final music project in order to complete his seminary education, will be presenting his own arrangements of hymns both familiar and ones that have fallen out of use over the years. On top of that, Chris, Amanda, and the worship team will be taking requests of our favorite hymns to sing. It will be an evening of worship before God as well as a celebration of the legacy of the hymns of our faith. (For more information or to make hymn requests ahead of time contact Chris at cmarch34 at gmail.com or 309-648-7703.)

Jr. and Sr. High Parents Meeting

The Youth Ministry of Redeemer will have a meeting for all parents of Jr. and Sr. High students on Sunday, January 17th. Meet in the sanctuary immediately following the service. If you are unable to attend, please contact Kari Hanlon 847-778-8026 or knhanlon at gmail.com

Annual Celebration

Following our morning worship on January 24th we'll share lunch together and celebrate what God is doing in our midst at Church of the Redeemer. This is a time for the whole church to be together in fellowship and thanksgiving, so please plan on being a part of this yearly event. We'll hear how God has led us in the past year, look forward to 2010 and select new Vestry members.

Thank you

We gathered 4 sets of baby clothing, 16 coats, 23 hats, 26 gloves/mittens, and 41 scarves.  The Young Adults Group feels truly blessed to have organized this drive, and we know these pieces of clothing will help our neighbors in the coming cold days ahead.  We offer our gratitude and appreciation to all at Redeemer who have donated and prayed for this drive.
