Redeemer Staff

The Rev. Jay L. Greener - Rector
Jay Greener is the new pastor (Rector) at Church of the Redeemer, having begun in October of 2006. He comes to Redeemer following 25 years of ministry with churches in Illinois, Georgia and Colorado. ?Father Jay? is also a professional communicator, having worked in professional broadcasting?including a stint as Manager of the Chicago area?s WCFL Radio?and as Director of Communications for the Anglican Mission in America. He has a heart for worship and leading people into a life changing encounter with God. Jay is a graduate of Wheaton College and Yale Divinity School, and is excited to be on this forward moving journey with Church of the Redeemer.

Allyson Entner - Children's Pastor
Born and raised in Ohio, Allyson Entner came to Trinity International University to study Christian Ministries and Psychology. During that time, she further developed her passion to be a catalyst for spiritual growth in the lives of believers. She now expresses this desire through children's ministry as Redeemer Kids provides opportunities to share Christ with kids and to disciple them. Allyson's pleasures in life include laughter, dogs, the color red, and sharing life with her husband, James.

Ryan Hofacre - Youth Pastor
Ryan Hofacre has been with Redeemer since September 2006, working to disciple and facilitate services for students. Ryan is currently enrolled at Trinity International University pursing his Master of Divinity. Prior to coming to Chicago, he lived in inner city Columbus Ohio after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Theological Studies from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Outside of working as the student ministry intern, Ryan is an interior/exterior painter in the surrounding area and is excited about working with Redeemer this fall.

Amanda Holm - Music Minister
Amanda Holm has been at Church of the Redeemer since July of 2005, and began co-leading worship at Redeemer in January 2007. Born and raised in southern California, she first came to the Chicago area as a student at Wheaton College, graduating with a BA in English. Currently she is pursuing her Master of Divinity at Trinity International University. Amanda began studying piano at a very young age and has enjoyed private lessons in both piano and voice, accompanying choirs and soloists, and leading instrumental ensembles for musical productions. She is excited to see the music team at Redeemer developing and growing with the church.

Eric Speece - Music Minister
Eric Speece has served in music ministry for the last 10 years, both in Nashville, TN and Budapest, Hungary. Currently, he is attending Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary where he is working on a Master of Theological Studies degree in Theology and Ethics. Married since August 2000, he and his wife, Laura, have two young children named Lydia and Judah. Besides being a husband and father, he loves reading, chess, and playing many different instruments. He has a deep passion for the role of music in the life of the Church and is grateful for the opportunity to be apart of that here at Church of the Redeemer.
